Marie-Laetitia Thezenas et al from the Kessler group in collaboration with NDORMS and Bayer shows in a very elegant, combined proteomics and transcriptomic study the relevance of AOC3 / VAP1 for oxidative stress and inflammation in endometriosis.

The team nicely demonstrated downregulation of protective, anti-oxidant factors while pro-oxidative enzymes were increased in human endometriosis samples. Notably, an AOC3 enzyme inhibitor was able to reduce pro-inflammatory pain, suggesting potential translational relevance.
